Classic Battleship Rules
Battleship is a two-player turn-based game played on two 10×10 grids. Each player hides a fleet of five ships, then fires at the opponent's waters. The first player to sink all five ships wins.
Fleet setup
Each fleet has five ships and occupies 17 cells in total. The ship lengths are 5, 4, 3, 3, and 2 cells. Ships can be placed horizontally or vertically, but they cannot overlap or leave the grid.
How a turn works
Choose one cell on the enemy grid and fire. A hit lets you fire again; a miss passes the turn to your opponent. When every cell of a ship has been hit, that ship is sunk and its outline is revealed.
Winning and game modes
Sink all five enemy ships to win. You can play online matchmaking, invite a friend with a room code, practise against the AI, or take the daily challenge.
